Ministry of Tourism And Culture Gets New Minister

In the recent changes to the cabinet, the President of The Gambia His Excellency Adama Barrow on Friday, 15th March 2024 appointed Honourable Abdoulie Jobe, as the new Minister for the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

Before his appointment, Honourable Abdoulie Jobe was the Minister of Petroleum and Energy he replaced Honourable Hamat NK Bah who is now been redeployed as Minister of Ministry of Lands and Regional Government, both appointments effective from Friday, 15th March 2024.

In brief, Honourable Minister Abdoulie Jobe before being appointed as Minister of Petroleum and Energy in May 2022, had served as the Head of Study and Planning at The Gambia River Basin Development Organisation (OMVG) Dakar Office, Director-General of the Gambia Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA), The Gambia.

Also, he once served as the Managing Director of the National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC).
Minister Jobe studied Mechanical Engineering and Water Resource Engineering with over two decades of leadership experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Distribution Management positions.
